Charleston Conference on Alzheimer's Disease Mentors

CCAD mentors are some of the most influential scientists in the history of Alzheimer’s disease. They represent a broad range of institutions and areas of research, and offer years of experience, knowledge and wisdom to early-career scientists.

Mentors play a vital role in meeting the goals of CCAD and the success of the conference overall. They offer pivotal help by guiding attendees through the conference and mock NIH review process, providing networking and collaborative opportunities, and supporting attendees as they begin their careers.

CCAD currently has nine mentors, including two acknowledged in memoriam, and John Kauwe, Ph.D., who is the first conference alumnus and New Vision Investigator Awardee (2013) to return as a mentor. The conference has also hosted two visiting mentors.
