Prior postdoctoral research investigated whether advanced diffusion MRI methods—including diffusional kurtosis imaging—could detect microstructural differences associated with APOE4 and identify preclinical imaging biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease. The work developed diffusion-kurtosis acquisition and tissue-modeling approaches related to white-matter integrity, myelin, axonal density, and brain connectivity.
