Develops MRI measures of white-matter integrity to identify early tissue changes associated with cognitive decline and Alzheimer's disease. Uses diffusional kurtosis imaging to study myelin and glial microstructure before overt atrophy and to relate imaging abnormalities to complementary disease biomarkers.
