Uses structural MRI and neuropsychological methods to study brain-behavior relationships in cognitive aging and dementia, with particular emphasis on white-matter abnormalities and hippocampal function. Combines longitudinal imaging, imaging-guided histopathology, and behavioral tasks to identify early markers of Alzheimer's disease and evaluate interventions that may preserve cognition.
