Studies how covalent DNA modifications and other epigenetic mechanisms regulate neurodevelopment, aging, and Alzheimer's disease. Uses mouse models, human cellular systems, and three-dimensional brain organoids to investigate 5-hydroxymethylcytosine and related pathways that contribute to neural pathology.
