Studies the normal functions, misfolding, aggregation, and neurotoxicity of tau in Alzheimer's disease and related tauopathies. Uses molecular, cellular, and experimental-model approaches to clarify how tau pathology develops and to identify strategies for preventing or treating neurodegeneration.
