CCAD Senior Mentor Malú Tansey, PhD, Named President of World Parkinson Coalition
New Vision Research congratulates Malú G. Tansey, PhD, CCAD senior mentor and internationally recognized neuroscientist, on her appointment as President of the World Parkinson Coalition (WPC).
Dr. Tansey will lead the organization for the next three years as it looks ahead to the 8th World Parkinson Congress, scheduled for June 2029 in Quebec City, Canada. She previously served as Vice President of the World Parkinson Coalition and has held numerous leadership roles within the organization.
Dr. Tansey is Director of Neuroimmunology Research at the Stark Neurosciences Research Institute and a faculty member at Indiana University School of Medicine. Her research focuses on inflammation and immune system dysfunction in Parkinson’s disease and related neurodegenerative disorders.
We are proud to see Dr. Tansey’s leadership and expertise recognized on the international stage and grateful for the mentorship and support she continues to provide to the CCAD community.
