Need Help Applying for SBIR or STTR Funding?

Preparing your first Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) application can be daunting and time-consuming. Wouldn’t it be helpful to have an experienced mentor to walk you through the process and help you refine and perfect your submission?

The National Institute on Aging (NIA) Office of Small Business Research is participating in the Applicant Assistance Program (AAP). The free, 10-week program is designed to assist small businesses in preparing an SBIR or STTR application in time for the next deadline on January 5, 2021. AAP provides participants with services such as application needs assessment, mentoring, application preparation support, and application review. NIH is now accepting applications for the January 2021 SBIR/STTR application cycle. Use the AAP Application Portal to apply by Thursday, September 24, 2020.

AAP aims to increase the number of applications from underrepresented small businesses, especially women-owned and socially and economically disadvantaged companies, and offers support and resources to help those applicants maximize their chances of success.

Accepted participants in AAP will be assigned a coach from Eva Garland Consulting for one-on-one, customized assistance that focuses on each step and section of the SBIR or STTR application.
